Mimecast is seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join its Threat Protection team, helping build robust systems and tools designed to protect customers against evolving cyber threats. As part of this role, you’ll contribute to building scalable solutions that combat email security risks, utilizing innovative cloud technologies and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C#
• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and email security protocols
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and the SDLC
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work on complex challenges

Qualifications

• Develop and maintain software for threat detection and protection systems
• Collaborate with a cross-functional team to improve threat protection capabilities
• Implement scalable and secure cloud-based solutions using modern tools and frameworks
• Contribute to the architecture and design of security features
• Work closely with engineers to identify and resolve software defects
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) from design to deployment
• Conduct code reviews and collaborate to ensure high standards for code quality, security, and performance
